SOCIAL WORK & OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
Dharmagiri St Joseph’s Wholistic Healing Centre focuses on providing affordable
and quality healthcare to the rural population and marginalized communities of Vadakkencherry
and Vandazhi GramPanchayaths of Palakkad District, Kerala.
Through various medical camps, awareness programmes and home care visits, the hospital
reached out to over 1000 people every year providing them with free preventive and
therapeutic services. The hospital continues to reach out to the communities residing
in poor and remote regions and strive to bring about a positive impact on their
lives and livelihoods. Apart from the outreach activities, the hospital also takes
up charitable activities which include providing free treatment and medications
to the deserving and needy patients who come to the hospital.
Medical Camps
Dharmagiri St Joseph’s Wholistic Healing Centre organizes various social work programmes
and outreach activities every year. We conducted breath free/ asthma camps every
month under the supervision of our Physician, Dr Pratheesh along with which we also
conducted diabetic detection camps, blood group detection camps and various Medical,
ENT and Paediatric camps. Bone Mineral Density Camps are also organized at the hospital
under the guidance of the Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr Vijayan & Team. Various week-long
awareness programmes are also organized for women & child focusing on maternal health,
breastfeeding, child nutrition and growth.
Home Care
We care for the special healthcare needs of people staying at home. Our care extends
to the poor and suffering people who are getting older, are chronically ill, recovering
from surgery, or disabled.

- * Home Sample Collection for lab tests at their residence

- * Teaching and training of patient's relative to do simple dressing in aseptic condition.

- * Mouth care and oxygen administration for COPD patients.
